Medical Courses

First Aid

Although serious marine life injures are rare, mosty divers experience minor discomfort from unintentional encounters with fire coral, jellyfish and other marine creatures at some point in their dive career. Knowing how to minimize these injuries helps divers to reduce discomfort and pain. This course is designed to provide knowledge re: specific types of marine life injuries and the general first aid treatment for those injuries.

CPR

This course is also used by professional rescuers (fire fighters, lifeguards, health care, medical and paramedic staff). You will learn: information about heart disease, the skills of adult, child and infant CPR for one rescuer, what to do if an adult, child or infant is choking and adult CPR for two rescuers.

First Aid Provider

A First Aid Provider is trained to recognize and deal with various diving and non-diving related emergencies. First Aid Provider certification is mandatory for divers wishing to continue on to any ACUC Leadership level and is great knowledge to take with you in your day-to-day life.
